I have had laser eye surgery and have almost perfect vision now. I have been rejected based on my pre op prescription. Is that right? It seems ridiculous.

Hi Deborah,
As far as I know, yes that is correct. The current policy is that pre-operatively refractive error should not be more than +6.00 or –6.00 dioptre. I am afraid I am not a specialist in either occupational medicine or ophthalmology and so am unable to expand on why that is the policy, apologies.
