To become a Recovery Mechanic, you join the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) in the Rec Mech trade, complete 14 wks basic training then attend your Phase 2 at MOD Lyneham and spend 20 weeks training to become a qualified Rec Mech - this training continues throughout your time in the army. You would also complete your Lv 3 Apprenticeship in Engineering Technical Support whilst you train / serve.
