Which role (If Volunteering for everything) spend more time away from base? Chef or RLC Driver? I always want to be away

Hi, this is a difficult question to answer as it depends on so many different things. It would mainly depend on the unit you are working with or attached to on the time away. It also depends on Defence commitments and what is happening both in the UK and abroad. My advice would be do the job you want to do (big difference between chef and driver) and then find units with lots going on. There are always opportunities to volunteer to go away too or other opportunities such as adventurous training and sport to get away.
