Any advice on which role in the infantry I should take?

Hi there Isoa, You don't need to specifically choose a role in the Infantry just yet. When you go through your training, you will be trained as an infantry soldier foremost, then once you get to the relevant stage, more information will be given to you on the choices and options available to you. Its good to have an idea of what you would like, and there are many options available, but do bear in mind that this could change when you are going through your training. Hope this helps
