Hi Oliver, thanks for your question.
There isn't too much in the way of a direct answer to your question. If you have the qualifications to commission to become an officer then you are welcome to do so throughout your service, usually this is best to do so after serving at least 2 years so you have been able to gain some experience in the job itself. You can also rise through the ranks to get to that stage and become what is known as a "Late Entry" Officer. This usually takes around 20 years of service as a regular soldier, but depends on the individual and the career they create for themselves.
