If you are successful at the assessment center do you sign a contract of employment prior to starting phase 1?

Hi, the quick answer is no. You would be in Phase 1 training before you sign a contract and you have a time during phase 1 training when you can break that contract and leave. It is a small window but one that is there. Once that time passes you would then need to serve 4 years (which includes your Phase 1 and 2 training and you can sign off after 3yrs but would still need to serve a year). I hope this helps
