I am keen on joining the reserves however I am also keen on being deployed overseas at various opportunities. Given the UK is not currently deployed on a large scale in combat zones, is there a role or unit that is more likely to be deployed?

Hi, The short answer is, once you are fully trained there are always opportunities to join our Regular units for exercises and deployments. Thank you for your question.

Hi, I currently work in a HQ with 10 different Res units (Cav and Infantary) from all over the UK (incl Scotland and Northern Ireland) there are opportunities galore for Reservists to be mobilised and you could deploy anywhere in the world right now. You would normally be working alongside Regulars but also Multi-national soldiers too.
