Hi yes definitely before I joined I used to go to my Reserve unit every week. It gave me an advantage before I went onto my course.
The Soldiers are very experienced and helpful it gave me a better understanding of what was expected, I also learnt to practise my marching drills and get hands on some of the kit that we use.

Good Luck.

Hi. As Shayne has said, yes. You will get a good understanding of what is expected and you and the standards you need to achieve to be successful in your aspirational pathway.
