Combat as an Armourer?

It may sound stupid but I like the idea of going into the forces when I leave high school as an armourer but I've never been comfortable with the idea of killing someone but I can understand it may come down to it but Is there a way for me to join in this role or will it be an issue

Hi Finley,
An Armourer in the REME is not a combat role. They usually spend there time in a workshop maintaining weapon systems. If attached to a first line unit however you will go where ever they go but you will still be an armourer and not a combat troop.
