How long as a vehicle mechanic in the REME will it take to get your Level 5 Higher National Diploma in Engineering

Hi Oliver,
There is no specific timeframe to earning the HND as it is gained on completion of the Artificer course. In order to become eligible you will have to have completed your class one vehicle mechanics course and have received a recommendation for artificer on the Potential Artificer Board (PAAB). Once this is complete there will be exams to complete to ensure you are the right person to go artificer after this you will have to hold the rank of Sergeant and then you will be able to attend the Artificer Selection and Training Course and in doing so gaining your Level 5 HND in Engineering.
