After you have finished basic training (phase 1) and phase 2 training (trade training, you will then be sent to your selected Unit. Once you arrive at Unit then yes, as a soldier or officer in the British Army you can be deployed to areas of conflict. Check the British Army jobs website to see the locations we are deployed all over the world.

As Kieran mentioned above, once you have completed phase 2 training you will be attached to a unit. If that unit is due to deploy then yes you could be deployed overseas, providing you are over 18.
The British Army is currently in conflicts but aren’t currently in a fighting role. We are assisting foreign army’s with training.
What job role are you looking to join?
