Hi David - As long as you are enlisted before your 36th birthday you are within the age bracket. For Reservists, it's your 50th birthday. For Officer roles, you must be aged between 18 - 29 for regular and for reservist officer its 48 and 9 months.

PTIs are soldiers with a PTI qualification they earned in the Army, so the same applies. You cannot join the Army as a full-time PTI. However once you are a trained soldier you can work towards becoming a PTI in the Army.

To add to kierans response above, to attend the all arms physical training instructor course used to have an age limit of 33 but that has been moved to the right I believe. To become a royal army physical training corps instructor was the same.
