Do RLC drivers experience combat and infantry fighting with the enemy?

All military personnel are trained as a soldier first before we gain our trade qualifications.
Therefore if the situation arose we are trained for this, I have been fortunate enough to not have experienced a real life scenario where I have had to deal with conflict in this manner but have had plenty of training.
