It really does depend on where you're posted to and your family plans - i.e. will your family follow you and live in Army accommodation, or will you commute? We are one of the most heavily deployed Regiments within the Army, so expect to deploy for a six month tour approximately every two years. The extent to which you will be away in between these tours will depend on your post - some will require substantial travel whilst others are non-deployable. To help support your work/life balance, you will get ample amounts of leave to compensate for your time away. The Corps will also work hard to manage your workload from job to job to avoid burnout. It is quite common to cycle between less and more operationally demanding roles.
