Absolutely, not only do you get paid a really good wage but as a solider in training you get heavily subsidised food and accommodation, utilities bills and so on.
HOW MUCH WILL I EARN?
The current rates for soldiers starting each of these roles are:
Recruits (in initial training); £15,671 a year
Private: £20,000 a year
