Hi, they will provide you with accommodation after and during training. it depends on what regiment you go to. After phase one training you will then go to phase two and maybe go into 4man rooms unlike basic training where they are 12man rooms After phase two you will then go in single living accommodation which maybe be a single room with an en-suite. hope this helps Luke

The Army will always provide you with accommodation if you need it. There are new initiatives being trialled at the moment to give Soldiers greater freedom of choice as the where they live. During Phase 1 training you will be accommodated on camp but after that, depending on which trade training stream you enter, you may be able to live off camp. On the plus side the accommodation is almost always subsidised, so you pay a lot less than the equivalent in the civilian sector.

Yes, the army will accommodate you. All barrack locations have accommodation of various types, most with en suit shower and wash rooms etc. Accommodation charges can range from £20 - £150 depending on the location and type of accommodation. Food and accommodation complete on average is around £200 if you ate in the canteen on camp. This leave £1100 a month for a new soldier after passing out to spend on whatever they wish. Whilst your overseas or on leave, if you submit a leave pass you won’t pay accommodation for that period. I hope this answers your question J
