Regimental Medical Officer
Hi James,
You cannot be an officer as a CMT or a dog handler.
If you would like a clinical role as an officer you could look at becoming a nurse, physiotherapist, pharmacist, dentist or a doctor. Details of all these roles and the entry requirements are available on our website.
If you wish to work with animals in an officer role then you could look at veterinary medicine.
If it is simply an officer role within the Army medical services you are interested in, then have a look at becoming Medical Support Officer.
It is worth remembering that soldiers have the opportunity to promote up the ranks, and there are many soldiers who fill very senior roles within the Army. Details on soldier ranks can be found here https://apply.army.mod.uk/what-we-offer/regular-soldier/rank
