When you aren't deployed on Exercise, you carry out normal daily routine.
For me and the soldiers I worked with, this consisted of physical training first thing in the morning, then any tasks that needed completing.
Because we have the Warrior Infantry Fighting Vehicle, it meant carrying out maintenance on the vehicles so they were ready to go out on exercise.
If everything was complete, then the soldiers are stood down to carry out their own physical training, maintain their own kit or relax in their rooms.
