Do you have to have any prior medical qualifications to become either a CMT or medical support officer?

Hi Ellie,
I expect you have had a look at our website, but I have included the role pages for both CMTs and MSOs which list the required qualifications you need for each role.
In short, no you do not require any prior medical qualifications for either role. While you will receive clinical teaching in order to become a CMT, it is worth mentioning that MSOs do not work in clinical roles.
