It is very much depending on what role and stage you are at your career and the opportunities available.
Most postings to a GPD Company (General Policing Duties) can be around 3/4 years, but shorter if other jobs become available and you wish to move or you pass a selection process for those specific roles.
During your time at a Unit/Company you can be expected to deploy abroad in Policing roles most often they are Kenya, Canada and Falklands for approx 6 months or deploying on Operations or training exercises worldwide which can be anything from a few weeks to a few months.
Sorry to give such a broad answer, it does very much depend on your job role and your Units commitments. But as said previously most postings are approximately 3 to 4 years.
If there is anything else you would like to ask, don't be afraid.
