Whilst there are units in the RAC that use regional titles, northern cavalry etc, there is a broad selection of people in each unit. All three Tank units are based in the south, with two of the three armoured recce units also in the south, with the Royal Lancers potentially moving south in the next few years. Light Cav have units in the North, South West and Scotland. The whole regional and regimental recruiting has changed in recent years, you choose the role you want and then are sent to whichever unit in that role needs manpower. RTR, HCR, RL have recruitment areas in the south, with QRH being Midlands along with RL. KRH north west, LDs North east and RDG Yorkshire and Northern Ireland. That being said, all these units will have people from all over the UK.
