I was wondering whether it was better to start medicine before applying to the army or the other way around?

Hi Jamie,
To apply to join the Army as a Doctor you need to have a place at medical school. Most applicants will apply during the first two years of medical school to make the most of the bursary (I usually recommend applying in your first year as it can be a lengthy process).
I hope that helps.
