Hi, yes you can. To an extent (nothwithstanding medical) you can control how fast / show you go through the selection process. If you get a date for assessment and don't think you're fit enough you can defer it. It might be worth looking at getting the free app, 100% ArmyFit. This might help you with your training and know where you need to be. Remember, you don't need to be super fit as the army will build you up slowly.
