Hi, at 30 you would be one of the older ones but you can join up to the age of 33. Quite often the older soldiers do really well as you have some life experience and often help the younger ones. As long as you pass the medical and entry standards at assessment centre, i'd say do it! Better to look back in life and say 'i gave it a go' than wish you had. Good luck in whatever you decide - it's a big decision! Basic training is 14 weeks - after that you can pretty much have your life back ;)

No you aren’t too old mate. Speak to your local careers office with regards to joining as an electrician or was it a different role you were looking at?
