I am 47 years old, educated to MA level, physically fit and keen to learn new skills. Are there roles suited to me?

Hi Steven,
Due to your age you wouldn't be able to join as a regular soldier but you will be able to as a Reservist, having the qualifications that you have it might be worth looking into becoming an officer within the reserves.
I suggest you visit your local reservist centre for more specific details also ask to see if you can visit your local reservist to see what it's like, for regular soldiers we have Army Awareness Activities ran throughout the year that candidates can join in with might be worth asking if the reservists have a similar activity.
I hope this has been of some assistance.
Kat
