So I’m 18 and wish to go into a reservist role however my BMI is 17.6, .4 under what’s needed. Do I still have a chance?

Hi, the BMI is set at 18 so that is the lowest you can weigh I’m afraid. This is to do with the weight etc you will be expected to carry throughout your reserve training and further on.
My advice would be to hold off any cardio training that you are currently doing and focus on lifting weights, plenty of food download an app called my fitness pal to track your calories. You should aim to be eating more calories than you are burning off in order to gain weight, if you find in a few weeks you are not putting on any weight then raise your calories higher. Goodluck!
