Technical Support Specialist - Senior Instructor
Hello there Ciaran,
I have been a Technical Support Specialist for 17 years and the one word I would use to summarise it would be 'variety'. Every posting is different and the roles you can work in change. It is, at it's core, a vitally important job that ensures that the REME as a whole can keep the Army's weapons, vehicles and equipment working and firing.
We work in logistics, facilities and project management - as well as training teaching and training and command positions in Phase 1, 2 and in the field army. The role offers you the opportunity to obtain multiple qualifications, professional accreditation, pursue a degree and also gain your B, C and C+E driving licences.
If you would like an insight into my story, please click on my profile where my career thus far is documented.
I hope this answered your question and best of luck.
