Hi Hannah, the Royal Artillery (RA) is vanilla loaded, meaning that you apply to the RA and the RA see where you are best suited when they have seen you in Basic training and after. There is no guarantee that your daughter would definitely go to a ceremonial unit however she could make her feelings known straight away and once in, keep pushing for it. There's plenty of opportunities to ride if she's serving - whether that be playing polo or just joining the local stables. I hope this helps.
