Hi, only you can say whether it can work. If it's over 50miles you also won't get your duty travel (petrol) paid for anything over 50miles. Joining the Reserves needs to work for you and your civi job (if you have one) so most people find at least starting off in the Reserves that they attend their local Reserve unit.
