Hi Oliver thanks for your question.
You will be assessed against a common standard and you success is based on your own performance. There are a series of assessments designed to give the army an understanding of your officer potential. The officers assessing you will be interested in your approach to problems and challenges as well as your attitude towards other members of the group, both as a leader and team player.
Assessments include:
Physical tests such as Multi STAGE Fitness Test (MSFT or bleep test).
Written tests designed to assess your written communication skills.
Computer based tests on general knowledge, service knowledge and current affairs.
Command tasks.
Planning exercises.
I hope this helps and good luck!!
