Hi, many thanks for your question. Unfortunately you will be ineligible to join the army due to your previous attempt at self harm if this was confirmed in medical records. Due to the pressures and stresses of Army life you would be deemed unsuitable as the army has a duty of care to individuals and for someone who has already attempted self harm it may happen again. I'm sorry.
