As a Medical Support Officer (MSO) you go through the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and complete 44 wks of officer training - that is your phase 1 training. You would commission into the Royal Army Medical Corps (RAMC) and go through your Young Officers Course which trains you to become an MSO. I hope this helps.

Is Sandhurst the only place you can complete officer training at? As part of phase 1.

For a Regular officer - yes. Sandhurst is the only place you do the officer version of 'phase 1 training'. If you join as a Reservist you would go to your local Reserve Centre and can do a lot of training there but you would still need to go to Sandhurst to do your Reserve Commission. I hope that helps.
