Does it mean you also need some kind of medical knowledge to be considered?

Hi Liam,
You do not need medical knowledge to be considered for the role of Dog Handler. You will be taught everything you need to know during your training (this will include first aid for dogs).
The Army Medical Services encompasses a great number of roles, many that do not require clinical knowledge. Dog Handlers are part of the Royal Army Veterinary Corps, and work closely alongside Vets and the rest of the veterinary team.
