Hi Blake

So if you wish to fly in the Army Air Corps, there are strict standards in order to train as a pilot with regards to vision. I've abstracted the following, so if anything doesn't make sense, I recommend chatting to an expert (for example, larger Boots stores or Specsavers should be able to assist);

- Vision in each eye unaided must not be worse than 6/12, and each eye must be correctable to 6/6 or better
- 0.75 to +1.75 dioptres (spherical) and the astigmatic element must not be greater than +/-0.75 dioptres (cylindrical)
- Corrective eye surgery (corneal refractive surgery) is no longer a barrier to applying for pilot

So whilst you don't require perfect vision, there are specific requirements in place.

Hope that helps, and good luck with your pilot application
