Hi Christopher, thanks so much for getting in touch. No, you don't need to have some physics but a general understanding does help. I did physics as part of my GCSEs when I was 16 but didn't study it any further. I hope that helps! Have a great Christmas

Thank you Christopher, I echo Madeline P response. Even if an individual leaves school with little or no qualifications, this should not put them off joining the armed forces. Not all roles in the Army require technical qualifications, in fact, some roles don't require any prerequisite qualifications.
It is also worth pointing out that there is plenty of opportunity to educate yourself both personally and proffessionally throughout your Army career.
