We absolutely have roles for Mechanics.
As a tank commander I couldn’t have done my job without them. The Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers keep the army functioning. From LandRovers and Tanks to Helicopters there is space for you do use your skills. Take a look at https://jobs.army.mod.uk/roles/royal-electrical-and-mechanical-engineers/ to see what you could do.
I hope this helps.
