Morning the first time you go away for training you will be away from your family for around 6 weeks then you get to have a long weekend at home after phase 1 you will then move onto your trade training and get to come home most weekend unless there like a exercise on
hope this helps

afternoon that is fine depending how old you are you can still got through the prosses and then once you have got your GSCE results you can then pick the jobs you would like to do and if there is space then the recruiting team can look at getting you in from there

Hi Antony,
Looking further ahead of time, It entirely depends on your Units current Operational Commitments.
Myself, I've had years like being deployed for as little as 4 weeks a year. Likewise, I've also had years where i have 11 months out of the year deployed. It really depends and of course can sometimes be hard work but equally, very rewarding.
Every Soldier and Officer is granted 38 leave days a year. This doesn't include weekends, which for the most part are yours provided you aren't aligned to an Operation/exercise.
