Yonis, thank you for your question

Not everyone who starts the Infantry Training Centre can swim.

The physical training instructors (PTI) at ITC will help you learn to swim.

You will be required to pass a military swim test whilst at ITC Catterick, this consists of -
2 minutes treading water followed by a 100 meter swim without touching the sides or bottom of the pool. Getting out of the pool unassisted

Goodluck!

Do you have an idea of what regiment you are looking to join?

Yonis G.

Hello Sir and thank you for your response,

I've already applied to join the paratrooper regiment and I was already aware of the swimming test required to pass. Except that, I wasn't sure if Swimming was included in my training.

Again thanks for the response.
