What qualifications do you get after leaving the army air corps?

Hi there, Thanks for your question. The qualifications you can achieve will massively vary depending on what your role is and what you chose to take part in throughout your time in the Army. As a generic answer, most people will gain a couple of driving licenses for different vehicles and some sort of leadership management qualification (levels will vary depending on your job.) There is also opportunity to study for a degree and you will get learning credits that can be used to attend courses of your choosing (I know people who have put these towards learning how to do calligraphy or a coffee barista course!) From the flying side: you won't actually leave with qualifications that are recognised in the civilian world. However you will have accrued enough flying hours that you will be able to apply for your civilian licenses. Usually your civilian helicopter license is fairly straightforward to get but if you want to transfer to fixed wing (to become an airline pilot for example) then this will take a bit more training. You will have had world class flying training so getting your licenses and going on to work in the civilian aviation world should be a fairly natural transition provided you are up to standard.
