REME Workshop 2nd in Command

Ewan, One of the big attractions of the military is the opportunity to get away and experience new things. Leaving home and going away is always daunting but everyone will be in the same position so you will all be going through it together. You do not get a lot of time off on initial training as it is fairly intensive however once you are in phase 2 trade training, unless you are on duty, training or exercise, you will generally have most weekends off and a generous leave entitlement annually. This is the same when you make to the field force. You can apply to serve in certain locations and units however you are not guaranteed to get these as the needs of the Army must come first and you will be assigned to where you are needed.
