Hi Myla,
Good question, but not one that has an easy answer!
I usually advise people to have a chat with their local recruiting office if they are unsure whether or not now is a good time to apply. To apply as a CMT you will need to be at least 16yrs 6m and have the correct GCSEs.
The course for becoming a CMT can be quite academic, so you may find it helpful to have done A-levels. Sometimes people do better during the application process if they are a bit older and have more qualifications and a little bit more life experience, but this is often down to the individual.
