Can you describe what the commissioning course was like?
Additional information
I'm referring in particular to the professional qualified officers commissioning course - what did it entail?

Hello,
The PQO commissioning course is now the short commissioning course and is not just for PQOs, but reservists as well.
Unfortunately I was on the last PQO intake, and so it has changed since I did it, but I would hazard a guess that the content is still relatively similar.
The first few weeks focus on the basics of being a soldier, you will learn how to look after your uniform and equipment, learn how to do drill (marching) and how to live in the field. You start lessons on leadership and you will take part in regular physical training. The SCC won't develop your skills as a PQO, that all comes later, it is just about learning how to fit into army life.
The course can be physically and mentally demanding, but you make some brilliant friends along the way.
