Reconnaissance Platoon soldier
Evening Jac,
Really depends what your unit is on at the time. There is loads of downtime, aswell as free gym facilities. You could go out for a social if you wanted providing you were back for duty the next day.
Promotion, you can typically aim to get on a section cadre for promotion after 2 - 3 years depending on how you are as a soldier. It’s achievable if you set yourself a goal.
Once you’ve gained experience in each rank, typically every 2-3 years you could find yourself on the next pre promotional cadre to get on the next course.
Have you already applied?
