This would be your own choice as to who you join. The Parachute Regiment is The Army’s airborne infantry. The core of the Special Forces Support Group, working alongside United Kingdom Special Forces worldwide. Trained to deploy on the frontline or behind enemy lines by parachute, helicopter or land, you will be part of it – a motivated and determined team at the operational cutting edge of the British Army.
The food is standard across the Army and consists of 3 core meals a day on a pay as you dine basis, so basically you pay for what you eat. Career progression is based on yearly performance, having the required education and career courses completed.
Hope this helps.
