Hi Mollie,
In short, yes. Speaking from experience, my gender hasn't held me back whatsoever in my career. So long as you pass all the required tests (e.g. fitness tests) and you are good at your job, there is no reason why you will be treated any differently. The army are strong advocates of equality in the workplace, with equal pay, career/ sport opportunities, inclusiveness and so forth. In recent years, front-line combat roles have opened up to females, demonstrating the modernity and inclusiveness of the British army.
There are plenty of network groups out there too, such as the Army Servicewomen's Network (ASN) to offer support and advice, answer any unanswered questions and promote opportunities (such as sport). Also, these groups enable you to socialise and network with those from other cap badges.
As for daily life, it's no different to that of your peers. You do the job role and tasks required of you, completing them to a high standard. The only difference might be on exercise, when you're placed in separate accommodation, to give you privacy.
I hope that helps to answer your question, and get in touch if you have anything else you'd like to ask!
