The army pays well (c. £20k pa after basic training) and all our pay scales can be found by googling 'British Army pay salary'. However, it's not just about the pay, we have other perks like subsidised accommodation (inc electricity etc)/housing, we don't have to pay for medical prescriptions, we get more leave than most employers give. We get free gym / swimming pool access. The list goes on. We also get money towards education courses each year. Hope this helps.
