As a transgender woman (MTF), how will I be treated?
Additional information
I recently applied for the second time (cancelled last time due to college), but I'm still just as worried as the first time about how I'll be treated in the Army, especially in regard to grooming standards and uniforms. I'm currently on the waiting list for the GIC, so I'm also pre-op and pre-hormones but I have changed my name via deed poll.

The Army makes every effort to make sure that you are inclusive in all activities as they would do with anyone, the standard regarding uniforms is the same across the board for both females and males so you would not be at a disadvantage. There are currently a few transgenders serving within the Army currently, however I am unsure as to how this would affect basic training in terms of accommodation.
