Must I join a medicine related regiment if I do AOSS for a medicine degree, or can I join a guards regiment as I'd like?

If I apply for the AOSS, and do a medicine degree, must I join the RAMC or a regiment related to medicine, or will I be able to join a guards regiment as I'd desire?

Hi, if you apply for a AOSS and do a medical degree you could still join any part of the army you like. It doesn't matter. If you take on a medical bursary however (you'd have to be studying to be a Dr/vet etc to be eligible for this) then you'd have to join the army within the medical profession you were studying for (hopefully that makes sense). A sixth form scholarship doesn't limit you to which part of the army you join. I hope this puts your mind at ease.
