Additional information

I am currently a Physician Associate student and would like to join the Army. I would be open to CMT but feel as though I am over qualified for this role as am trained to the medical model. I should be registered with the GMC by 2024 and was therefore wondering if there was scope for PAs to work in the Army as a Medical Officer/ clinician hybrid? I ultimately would like to stay clinical so a medical support officer isn't something I would do at present. Thank you

Hello,

I haven't heard anything on the grapevine about roles becoming available for PAs I'm afraid.

It may be worth considering some of our roles in a reservist capacity? Enabling you to stay clinical with your work as a civilian, but gaining you Army experience as a reservist, whether that's as an MSO or a CMT.

Best of luck with your decision
