Hi, I would recommend a good all round fitness training program and do not avoid what you may be weak at, try to improve it. Running should be at the core of your weekly training with say 3 sessions of a variety of running, intervals, 20m bleep test, 2km effort and a distance run. Park runs are also a brilliant aid to improving fitness, google park run and see if there is one local to where you live. Certainly do not run every day as you will only get mentally and physically tired of it, but do not ignore this core fitness just because you may not be very good at it or dislike it. Additional training is gym work, circuit training or training at home doing press-ups and sit-ups etc. Other types of training in between running days. Also dependent on the intensity of your training one or two rest days a week, but if having two then spread them out in the week not together if possible. Having gone through training as a recruit then returned as an instructor you being physically fit enough to handle basic training is very important, so preparation is key. All you do is try your best and that is all the training staff will ever ask of you, this is in regards to fitness and all the other aspects of training.
